5月12日，岳麓公安分局西湖派出所接到群众报警，称在某工地内有一女子不慎失足坠井，情况万分紧急。
民警张青带领辅警周金玉立即赶到现场，发现井下的女子，脸色煞白，手臂紧紧撑住一侧井壁，下半身浸泡在粪水中，瑟瑟发抖。
由于井中空气不流通，时间一长可能会导致意识丧失，面临生命危险。“把绳子给我，我下去！”面对危急情况，周金玉毫不犹豫取下警械装备，脱下帽子和鞋子，下井展开营救。
下到井中后，周金玉发现女子的手臂受伤，随即将绳子绑在女子的腰间，安抚着女子情绪的同时，将女子身体固定好。一切准备就绪后，周金玉与消防救援人员一起，合力将女子拉出井中。
成功救出女子后，尽管全身被脏臭的粪水浸湿，周金玉还是露出了开心的笑容。“我没事，回家洗个澡就好了！”（来源：长沙晚报、新湖南）

Civilian police Zhang Qing led auxiliary police Zhou Jinyu immediately rushed to the scene. They found the woman pale and shivering with her arms braced tightly against one side of the well wall. Her lower body submerged in fecal water.
Due to the lack of air circulation in the well, the woman could have suffered a loss of consciousness and risked her life.“Give me the rope, I\’m going down!”Faced with the critical situation, Zhou Jinyu did not hesitate to remove the police equipment, took off his hat and shoes. He went down the well to start the rescue.
After going down to the well, Zhou Jinyu found that the woman\’s arm was injured. He tied the rope around the woman\’s waist to fix her body, soothing the woman\’s emotion at the same time. After everything was ready, Zhou Jinyu, together with fire and rescue personnel, joined forces to pull the woman out of the well.
After successfully rescuing the woman, Zhou Jinyu showed a happy smile despite being soaked with dirty and smelly fecal water all overhis body. “I\’m fine, I\’ll just go home and take a shower!”He said.
